Dialectic Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Originally developed for people who experience strong emotional reactions or difficulty coping with distress, DBT focuses on practical skills that create real, lasting change.

In therapy, you’ll learn four key skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These tools help you respond to challenges with awareness and flexibility rather than impulse or avoidance.

DBT offers a structured, supportive space to understand yourself, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater stability and self-acceptance.
