About the Role
The Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) will provide direct clinical services, including individual, couples, and family counseling for diverse clients in an outpatient setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers as needed. The LPCA will participate in regular supervision, case consultation, and ongoing professional development to support growth toward independent licensure. Additional responsibilities may include crisis intervention, collaboration with schools or community resources, and contributing to a supportive, ethical clinical environment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in our Connecticut locations in Stamford, Danbury, Shelton, Norwalk, and Mystic.
Requirements
Active Connecticut LPCA license (or eligibility) and completion of a master’s degree in counseling, clinical mental health, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Strong skills in assessment, diagnostic formulation, and treatment planning, including familiarity with DSM-5 and standard clinical documentation practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.
Comfort working with both in-person and telehealth platforms, including basic proficiency with electronic health records and related technology.
Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing supervision, and professional development, including openness to feedback and reflective practice.
Experience in outpatient mental health, community counseling, or similar settings is preferred; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
