Hi! My name is Shannon & I am a Licensd Masters Social Worker (LMSW). My goal as your therapist is to help create a safe space within a therapeutic setting where you feel comfortable , understood, supported, and seen from the start of our sessions together.

My journey in the mental health field started when I earned my B.A. in Psychology where I learned the intricacies of the human brain and how mental conditions can impact our daily lives . Shortly after, I decided to use my degree to start my journey towards getting my MSW and this is where my passion kicked in more to realize my love for helping people. I have experience working in an outpatient clinical setting where I worked with individuals with a diverse range of mental health conditions .

I have experience working with children, teens, individuals, families, and couples helping support them through their experiences of anxiety, depression, mood-related conditions, individuals experiencing trauma, self-esteem building , emotional regulation, and life transitions.

I like to use a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and understanding approach to therapy. My goal is to build a genuine connection with each of my clients where honesty and safety are a priority. I use a client- centered approach where I can meet my clients where they are and help them build at a pace that feels most comfortable and right for them. I use evidence-based modalities to help clients understand the psychological processes their brain may be going through, uncover underlying thoughts and emotions to better help understand their behaviors and relationships.

My goal as your therapist is to help you learn coping skills, develop the ability to manage and understand intense emotions and thought processes, learn life skills, and develop lasting relationships, and develop a meaningful therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, and compassion.
