Children, Teen & Family Therapy

Psychotherapy Session
Mom's Hug

Child and family counseling is a therapeutic approach designed to support children and their families in navigating challenges and enhancing their emotional well-being. A trained therapist works collaboratively with the family to address issues such as behavioral problems, communication difficulties, and emotional distress. Through various techniques and interventions, counseling helps families develop healthier relationships, improve understanding, and foster resilience. Our supportive environment encourages open dialogue and promotes positive changes within the family unit.

our specializations

01

Anxiety & Stress

Children and teens often feel anxiety and stress in ways that affect school, friendships, and family life. Therapy provides a calm, supportive space to explore what’s behind those worries and tensions. Together, we build coping skills, emotional awareness, and confidence. Families learn how to create structure, understanding, and open communication to help children feel secure and supported.

03

Trauma/PTSD

Experiencing trauma—whether from loss, violence, instability, or other overwhelming events—can deeply affect a child or teen’s sense of safety and trust. Therapy provides a safe, compassionate space to process those experiences, reduce distress, and rebuild a sense of control. Using evidence-based approaches, we help children and families manage triggers, restore stability, and strengthen connection and resilience.

05

School

Difficulties at school—academic struggles, behavior issues, or social stress—can impact a child’s confidence and family harmony. Therapy helps uncover the root of these challenges and provides tools to improve focus, communication, and problem-solving. Together, we build strategies that support learning, self-esteem, and success both in and out of the classroom.

07

Mood/Thought Disorder

Mood or thought disorders can influence how a child or teen experiences the world—shifting emotions, perceptions, and relationships. Therapy helps families understand these challenges and build strategies for emotional regulation and daily stability. Together, we work toward greater balance, understanding, and hope for the future.

09

College Transition

The move to college can bring both excitement and uncertainty—for students and families alike. Therapy helps young adults navigate independence, identity, relationships, and stress. Together, we work on coping skills, emotional balance, and confidence as they take this important step into adulthood.

02

Depression

When children or teens seem withdrawn, unmotivated, or weighed down by sadness, therapy can help them reconnect with hope and possibility. We work together to understand their emotions, strengthen self-esteem, and develop tools for managing low moods. Parents and caregivers also gain guidance in supporting emotional resilience and healing at home.

04

Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating

Concerns around food, body image, and control can be especially challenging during childhood and adolescence. Therapy provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore these patterns and the emotions underneath them. Together, we work to build self-compassion, healthy coping strategies, and a more balanced relationship with food and body. Family involvement is often an important part of the process, helping create understanding and support at home.

06

Athlete

Student-athletes often face pressure to perform, manage expectations, or cope with setbacks and injuries. Therapy offers a supportive space to build resilience, manage stress, and maintain a sense of balance. Families and coaches can learn ways to encourage well-being, motivation, and a healthy identity beyond performance.

08

Personality Disorders

When personality patterns lead to emotional intensity, rigid behaviors, or relationship challenges, therapy offers a path to understanding and growth. Children, teens, and families learn to recognize patterns, strengthen communication, and build flexibility and emotional awareness. The goal is to develop healthier ways of relating to self and others.

"Our sessions have been full of laughs, reflection, and growth. Thanks to my therapist, my outlook on life has improved in ways I never imagined."
