I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and Connecticut, with extensive experience in outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinics, both domestically and internationally. Due to my variety of work settings, I have worked with individuals from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, abilities, and differing sexual and gender orientations. I work from a relational and psychodynamic perspective, which often stimulates discussion around your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, in order to identify unwanted repeating patterns in your life.
My education includes a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University, in addition to a Bachelors Degree in Women’s Studies from George Washington University. I have post-graduate training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Object Relations Therapy and Mindfulness. I am also a graduate of the Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions program from the William Alanson White Institute.
I specialize in working with the LGBTQ community, sexuality and identity issues, as well as the treatment of addiction, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, and relationships issues. I work with individuals struggling with addictions and compulsions as well as affected partners and family members.
